Shannon Montalvo is a criminal defense attorney dedicated to protecting the rights of individuals facing serious criminal charges. She is admitted to practice law in Florida and Pennsylvania. Her career has been devoted primarily to indigent defense and advocacy for vulnerable populations. Prior to going to law school, Shannon interned at the Lycoming County Public Defender's Office in Williamsport, Pennsylvania and volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for children. She then attended Penn State Dickinson School of Law with a significant merit scholarship. During law school, she interned for a Family Court Judge at the Court of Common Pleas in Williamsport, Pennsylvania and at the Children's Advocacy Clinic at Penn State Dickinson School of Law.        

               
Shannon began her legal career at the Centre County Public Defender’s Office in Pennsylvania, where she represented clients at all stages of criminal proceedings, including serious felonies. During this time, she also represented individuals in involuntary mental health commitment proceedings and children charged with crimes. While there, Shannon also served as an Adjunct Professor and Co-Director of the Indigent Criminal Justice Practicum at Penn State Dickinson School of Law, where she helped mentor and supervise future criminal defense attorneys and certified legal interns in hands-on client representation. She later joined the Office of the Public Defender for the 20th Judicial Circuit in Fort Myers, Florida, serving in the felony division. 


Shannon is respected for her thorough preparation, client-centered representation, and her passion for ensuring that every client receives a strong and meaningful defense.
